A Bitter Pill(ow) To Swallow

Excuse the headline pun but the writers of SligoSligoNews couldn’t help themselves.

A man savagely attacked and beaten on International Pillow Fight day will never be the same again. The man is said to be suffering from a severe fear of pillows. Pillow fight day took place this year on April 7th and reports of this incident have only just come to light. The day itself is set aside for people all over the world to batter each other silly with pillows.

It’s meant to fun event and a bit of a stress reliever. However things really got out of hand when locals squared up to each other. Pillows are normally used as a support for the body (usually the head) to aid rest, recuperation and sleep. However some people use them as weapons.

The man in question claims he was knocked over like a feather, his face imprinted on memory foam and he was stabbed by a pin cushion. He’s currently resting his head on and orthopaedic pillow in a bed with sheets that are tightly tucked in – these also known as hospital corners.
