Psychedelic Brain Reset
Scientists are currently running scientific trials using powerful psychedelic drugs that may help with depression. Note – the scientists themselves are not taking the drugs – they are being administered to volunteers (mainly students).
The main drug on trial, DMT is the active ingredient in ayahuasca – used in South America to bring about spiritual enlightenment. It’s used in shamanistic rituals because of its hallucinogenic properties. It’s believed the outcome of the trial will be long lasting and better than conventional antidepressants as it may reset the brain.
Other drugs being investigated in separate trials include K, E and LSD.
Ketamine – Special K (is a horse tranquiliser)
MDMA – e or Ecstasy (responsible for 90s flared trouser outbreak)
Lysergic acid diethylamide – LSD (Beatle juice).
When asked to comment on the study a scientific spokesperson said “I have nothing further to add, that’s the AB&C of it all”.
