Sainted Of The Internet

A young computer programmer who died in 2006 was declared a saint of the Internet late last year.


The young Italian, Carlo Acutis, had his status upgraded from “Venerable” to “Blessed.” Those who’ve called for his sainthood point to the way he was able to balance the practice of his beliefs with his computer use.


He needs to have two attributed miracles before he attains the honour. One has been gained already for the inexplicable healing of a boy in Brazil. The marketing department of interested parties has already kicked into action. Prayer cards and tee-shirts are available online. There is even a song in his honour on Spotify called ‘Ctrl-D’ .

A spokesperson for the church has speculated that when he is deemed a saint that his name may become St. Righteous Click.
