Sligo Child Will Be On Toy Show

One young Sligonian has won a place on this year’s Toy Show It’s the golden ticket for most children and we must all be proud that Sligo will be represented this year.

It was the news little Karl McMarxist of Ballytivnan was wishing for all year.  He’s been very good over the last eleven months – eating all his greens, tidying up his room and doing everything (well almost everything) his mammy asked him to do.

Jumpers

Karl was so excited when he heard the news announced on the radio that he cried tears of joys. His mother Shelly couldn’t be prouder. They’ve been making plans all week for the trip to Dublin. They purchased silly Christmas jumpers and practiced some chatter that Karl can use to be cheeky to Ryan Turbidy. It’s been a full on week for the two of them.

Unfortunate News

Word has reached SligoSligoNews headquarters in the last few minutes that the prize was not for the TOY Show but the TIE Show. This is indeed unfortunate news and it’s understood the confusion was sparked by a radio announcer with a Limerick accent. Shelly declared that Christmas was now ruined. It’s understood that she hasn’t had the heart yet to inform Karl. She also said they would still go ahead with the trip and she hoped that little Karl wouldn’t notice the difference.

A spokesperson confirmed that the TIE Show will feature all manner of quality festive ties from all over the world.
